Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Honours) in Polymer Science, Engineering & Technology

Study the chemistry, processing and design of polymers, plastics and rubbers, and learn to turn them into products.

Programme overview

Polymers are everywhere, from medical devices and vehicle parts to textiles and building materials. This engineering degree takes you from polymer chemistry and materials science through to processing, product design and manufacture.

You will use molecular modelling, structural mechanics and process simulation software, and CAD/CAM tools in specialised laboratories. Sustainability and recycling run through the programme, and engineering entrepreneurship modules show you how to take new materials and products to market.
